Greenpower Mobility – All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles Greenpower creates and builds, as well as distributes a range of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy and medium-duty vehicles. This includes transit buses, school buses as cargo buses and shuttles. EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle that has a high degree of personalization. It's also FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It has a class-leading range and ADA wheelchair-friendly features. It also has cargo delivery setups. EV Star GreenPower Motor Company produces a full line of high-floor as well as low-floor all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can be used to accommodate various body designs and upgrades for a variety of applications. The platform's clean sheet design allows the best battery pack placement and a lower center of gravity, resulting in higher payload to range ratios. The EV Star REEFERX is designed to meet the needs of mid to last mile refrigerated delivery and catering applications. The refrigerated trucks in class 4 with a single wall structure inside and higher insulation than conventional trucks, allow for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer lifespan. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior capacity for cargo and a top payload-to-range ratio for zero-emission passenger and cargo transportation. GreenPower partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems. This will allow fleets to transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW. We were capable of testing the EV9 on an unpaved highway for several hours, and found it easy to drive and comfortable to drive for long distances. The ride is smooth over ruts and bumps, while the EV9 does an excellent job of reducing the sound of traffic and wind on the highway. The acceleration is surprisingly fast and the car has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow “one pedal driving” by lifting off of the accelerator. The EV9 offers a great range and can be recharged within three hours or less at home, or with any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two operating modes including eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode prioritizes the torque, cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both are fun to drive and provide an experience unlike any other for those who have not driven an electric vehicle before. In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other electric vehicles, such as a multi-purpose, all-electric mini bus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used as executive shuttles, microtransit or transit vanpools, buses, and paratransit vehicles. electric wheel scooter produces around 10 EV Star busses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric cars. GreenPower will increase production to meet the needs of the Biden Administration who is planning to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested by Altoona and FMVSS-certified. Buy America compliant and ADA conforming. This makes them eligible for federal transit grants.
